Volume 2 of Lady Thor, I fricken’ love her! I love how strong she is and how she’s trying to just keep everyone alive while keep S.H.E.I.L.D. from finding out who she is.
The legend continues with Thors new and old! Loki spins a special ages-old tale of a young Odinson in action against a hulking great enemy. You wouldn’t like this Viking when he’s angry! But what incredible impact will this yarn from the past have on the present? Prepare for corporate espionage, Marvel-style, as some of the world’s most powerful and evil conglomerates go to war — with Thor caught in the middle! But if Roxxon and the rest aren’t enough trouble, Jane Foster must contend with a new enemy: S.H.I.E.L.D.! Whose side will Agent Roz Solomon be on? Worse still, somehow millions of lives will depend on the God of Thunder saving Roxxon’s evil executive, Dario Agger! All this and…the Exterminatrix and the Silver Samurai?!
There was so much stuff I was not expecting to show up in this, like Midas’s daughter. She was pretty cool and I liked her weaponry. I also liked seeing how Jane was able to protect her identity as Thor from the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. That was actually quite fantastic and it leads to a wonderful bit of lore at the end that I enjoyed. It also started out with some lore between Loki and Thor and how this influenced the Vikings in some areas.
I like getting to know all the different versions of Loki and Thor and how they have not only changed but stayed the same as well. I also like how Loki doesn’t know who is the Thor under the mask and so he’s at a direct disadvantage at trying to talk to her.
What different versions of Thor and Loki have you run in to? Which version do you like? comment below and let me know!
