Today is Thursday! Yay for Thursday and that means it’s almost time for the weekend! But we’re not talking about the weekend today, we are talking about three ways that I organize my own personal library. I have several bookshelves (5 in total) that have nearly all the shelves filled. There’s only about one or two shelves that are not filled in all of my shelves. But the shelves that are filled, I do have a certain way of organizing them.
- By last name. I have a lot of different types of books…like, so MANY!!! But I also have a lot of books by the same author. So, those are organized by author. I also kind of have them in slight alphabetical order by last name as well.
- By genre. I read a lot of science fiction and fantasy, but I also have a selection of other books as well. So, I try to have my books grouped together by the same genre.
- Size. I like it when I can have books all the same size sitting together because that means I can stack books on top of books then and keep certain groups together as I would like to do.
So, these are three ways I organize my bookshelves. It’s not that inventive, or that unique, but it works for me. How do you guys organize your bookshelves? Why are they organized in that way? Comment below and let me know!
