Tiny Navajo Reads: Top Ten Auto-Buy Authors

6

July 16, 2019 by TinyNavajo

Hi guys! It’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday! TTT was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Today’s theme is ten authors that are auto-buy for myself. I was actually thinking about this particular subject while contemplating what to do after work. I do have an earlier shift today, so I was thinking that I could go and visit a Barnes and Noble that is farther away from my normal bookstore to see if I could find a copy of Good Omens to buy. I am on the hold list in multiple formats for the two library systems that are near me (yes, I know), but I have so many Neil Gaiman books so far that he’s becoming a auto-buy author for me. Which I didn’t expect to happen, but here we are.

Besides Neil Gaiman, here are my other auto-buy authors:

Brian Jacques

Anne McCaffrey

Brandon Sanderson

Gail Carriger

Neil Gaiman

Neal Shusterman

Robin Sloan

Nina George

Rachel Caine

Marie Brennan

Who are your auto-buy authors? When did you realize they had become your auto-buy authors? Comment below and let me know!

Were you able to get a copy of Good Omens? I loved the TV series but haven’t had a chance to read the book yet.

Nope, I wasn’t able to yesterday. I plan on leaving early for work in order to get it cause I really REALLY want to read it! Like, I don’t want to read anything else at the moment, so I need to go and buy it!

  3. My son loved the Redwall books! We have a few of them in hardcover and I’ve been thinking about buying the rest of them for someday grandchildren. 📚✨

I went through a Pern phase in college and read about fifteen of the Dragon Rider books and some of the spin-offs. I need to get back in there and finish off the series. 🐉,

Thanks for sharing your list. 👍✨

Redwall and Pern are still some of favorite books to read if only for the fact that they always have a happy ending and everything is right in the world. At least, Redwall always feels that way.
