Hey guys! It’s Thursday again and today we’re talking about three bookstores that I would absolutely LOVE to visit! If there is one thing that I love to do, it’s travel. You combine that with reading, and you have someone who wants to visit all the bookstores that are all around the world. I have three specific ones today that I would absolutely love to visit!

  1. The Bookshop, Wigtown, Scotland. Those of you who are in the online book community, or the bookselling community, you know of The Bookshop. The Bookshop is in Wigtown, Scotland and it sounds absolutely marvelous! I want to visit this particular bookshop so badly, and I want to visit the U.K. Thanks to The Diary of a Bookseller that fully cemented this desire!
  2. Shakespeare and Company, Paris, France. It just sounds wonderful, and I want to visit it so bad! Apparently you can live in Shakespeare and Co. as long as you are willing to work there as well. That, to me, sounds awesome!
  3. Dauphine Street Books, New Orleans, Louisiana. I have visited New Orleans only once in my life, and I would love to go back and visit just for the beignets at Café Du Monde. I had also visited one bookstore while I was there and I found and bought two volumes of poetry that seemed to actually catch my attention. Looking back through the maps of New Orleans in the French Quarter though, I see that I had missed SO MANY bookstores! Like, so many! I need to go back just to visit the French Quarter, get me some more beignets and to visit all of these bookstores. Starting with Dauphine Street Books and moving on from there.

So, these are my three top choices of bookstores I would love to visit. Granted, there are so many more that I would like to visit, and I’ll come back to talk about them at a later point, but for now these are it. What bookstores do you want to visit? What caught your attention about these bookshops and why do you want to visit them? Comment below and let me know!
