Hi again! It’s that time of the week, it is Thursday and today we’re going to be talking about three book series that I loved reading and rereading while I grew up. A lot of these are probably going to sound familiar to a lot of people, but they are still some of my favorite book series I’ve read. Onto the series!

Okay, how can you not have this on your favorite childhood series. It definitely shaped the way that I read, and it was one of my first big book series. It was also my first big fantasy books that lead me to magic and worlds that are different from our own. Harry Potter had a huge effect on my childhood and I still have it to this day.

The Chronicles of Narnianarnia

Oh my goodness! While Harry Potter was an introduction to fantasy, Narnia was a wonderful taste of epic fantasy. While most everyone has read The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, my uncle had gotten me the full book series for Christmas one year and I was able to read ALL of them finally! And it was definitely one of the gifts that I still have and keep and remember! It’s on my shelf right now! And my favorite book in the series is actually The Horse and His Boy which takes place while the Pevenise children are still kings and queens of Narnia. So good!

Redwall

I love Redwall! It’s just a sweet homey feel to it and it’s a book series that I always turn back too when I just want to feel happy again. They are slightly repetitive with their plotlines, but it also makes it easy to read and fall under the happiness I need sometimes. Especially when it’s just been a rough while and I want to escape to Redwall where there are heroes, wonderful food, and friends I can always go back to.

What book series do you remember from your childhood? Do you still go back to them? Can you see where they have affected your lives? Comment below and let me know!
