library wars 15~It’s the final countdown!~ We’re on the final volume of Library Wars and I’m super excited and also sad because this was such a good series and so I don’t want it to end, but it’s such a good ending!

The war between the Library Forces and the government’s censorship committee heats up! Iku Kasahara, once a lowly Library Forces recruit, is now a high-profile militia member, undercover and off the radar as she accompanies a censored author to a foreign embassy. All the while, her mentor and secret love Dojo is recovering from a gunshot wound. The last time she saw Dojo, Iku vowed to tell him her true feelings, but now she’s not sure she can go through with it. Are Iku and Dojo destined to be together, or will the battle for books tear them apart?

Okay, this is the penultimate volume, does Toma-san make it to the embassy without getting caught? Will Dojo survive his wound? What the hell is Kasahara thinking?! Obviously, I know the answers to all of these questions and I can tell you that there is happy endings all around, but I think what I enjoy most about this volume is that we see Kasahara fully stop and think and proceed forward. Even Toma-san is amazed at how much Kasahara is able to not only get him to the embassy, but disguised (best disguise EVER mind you) and safe. And the way she does it is very unorthodox, but it works. That’s what this series has been saying about Kasahara’s work style, it’s unorthodox, but it works!

Anyway, that’s the end of the series, and there is a happy ending. Kasahara makes it makes it back in order to properly confess to Dojo and we them about few years after that happily together and still with the Library Task Force. They are still working against the Media Betterment Committee, working against censorship. All in all, this is a wonderful series and it may be one that I go back to again!

How do you deal with the ending of a series you enjoy? Are you able to move to another series right away, or do you have a book hangover? Comment below and let me know!
