We’ve are officially half-way through the year now. And that’s still just weird to think. And with that, I have a month and a half left of my Master’s degree…then I have to go out into the real world and find myself a full-time job…GAH!!!!
Anyway, onto what I’ve read in this past month. I started the month off with Shanghai Girls, a story that starts in Hong Kong with two sisters and ends in California with their family grown. And since I’m so behind on reviews, there’s nothing for me to link to yet. But I will write that review soon, I promise. I also read quite a few volumes of comics, including Scooby Apocalypse, a rewrite of Scooby-Doo and gang that deals with the end of the world. I highly enjoyed them, and I will be looking forward to the continuation.
I also read several stand-alone books; Twilight Zone, Norse Mythology, Dreaming in Indian, #notyourprincess, and The Girl with Ghost Eyes.
I also read quite a few comics and graphic novels; as mentioned, Scooby Apocaplyse Vol. 1-3, Fables Vol. 9-11, White Sand Vol. 2, and Marvel 1602. I’m starting to get back into comics/graphic novels and I’m highly enjoying it.
As you have probably read last week, I had just got back from ALA New Orleans, and as I found out there are so. many. FREE. books. And a lot of them are ARCs, or advanced readers copies. I have read two this month, The Red Address Book and A Study in Honor. Both really good, but I was amazed by A Study in Honor and there will be a review on that one soon because of how much I loved that book!
Statistic wise, I read 16 books this month, I have read 90 books in the past 6 months and I am 30 books ahead of my Goodreads goal. WHOO!
How are you guys doing on your own reading goals? Comment below and let me know!
